Tax Time 'Question of the Day'

With tax time right around the corner it struck me. Why does buying a hybrid car give you decent tax credit but riding a bike gets you nothing? I ride my bike to work nearly every day which is over 5 miles one way. Now I *know* riding does a heck of a lot more for our environment than just dumping less pollution into the air like commuting in a hybrid would. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that people get *something* for getting green cars (since the automotive industry is clueless and behind the times - but I digress), but I'd like something for my completely pollution free vehicle too. :-) cheers, will comments posted at 9:20 PM |
